About me
Hi! Nei ho! My name is Lok-In, and here are some of my random thoughts that I have 24/7.
I have been thinking about what can last for centuries long after my death. It's not going to be paper, my ambitions, and things that I have been chasing for my entire life. So what can last for that long?
I figured out the answer from 'The Raft of Medusa'. In fall 2019, I was taking an art history class and viewing massive oil paintings. One day, one painting caught my eyes on it, it's an oil on canvas from Theodore Gericault. At that moment, I suddenly had an A-HA moment and realized 'This is it!'. To me, art is an idea that reflects a phenomenon, an issue, event, anything! It can be shaped in any form, it's just about how do you want to identify it.
So back to my random thought, what can last forever and ever? My answer is nothing. I made a mistake at the very first point that I should not focus on the material, but something inside us. I want to create some things that can enlighten and influence people, and this is why I am here.
